What you'll learn

In this series of Edge Animate tutorials, we'll talk about getting the most from working with symbols in Edge Animate. We'll start by creating animations that we'll convert to symbols. We'll take a look at how we can add actions to our symbols while keeping everything independent of outside elements. We'll also talk about how we can reuse a symbol for other projects and how we can easily edit images, properties, and text within that symbol to customize it for our needs. We'll finish by talking about more complex symbols that are nested within each other and can be controlled remotely by other elements. By the end of this Edge Animate training you'll have an understanding of how symbols work and how using them will speed up your workflow by combining the elements in your project in a way that's easy to reuse and modify. Software required: Edge Animate CC 2014.
