What you'll learn

In this set of tutorials we will help you become comfortable with Maya's powerful Expression Editor, all so that you can automate functionality that would otherwise be cumbersome to animate by hand. We'll start the course by learning how an expression can be used to automatically rotate a wheel. We'll then learn how to create an expression that will automate the rotation of gears, and to conclude the course, we will learn how to set up a dynamic pivoting system, all with the help of an expression and a few nodes. By the end of this course, you will have the knowledge needed to automate with expressions for your projects. Software required: Autodesk Maya 2015.
